Our Story
In 1987, Eric Bennett envisioned a single, professional point of contact for every delivery in a Class A commercial building. That vision still guides how SBM serves buildings and their tenants today.

The SBM Story
Class A buildings needed a more consistent way to manage the daily flow of deliveries, couriers, and mail. Without a dedicated operation, packages could be delayed, tenants frustrated, and property managers left without clear visibility.
Eric Bennett responded in 1987 by bringing a dedicated, professionally managed messenger center into the building. Today, SBM remains proudly family owned and independently operated, earning the trust of more than 60 Class A properties.
Our History
The story begins with Supreme Systems, a delivery network providing same day service to the most demanding addresses in New York. Decades of courier expertise became the foundation for everything SBM built next.
Eric Bennett brings Supreme’s logistics expertise inside the building, creating a dedicated corporate messenger center designed around the demands of Class A properties.
SBM expands across New York commercial real estate, building lasting relationships with prominent properties and management teams.
Following September 11, SBM responded to heightened security requirements by introducing advanced screening for incoming packages, adding another layer of protection to daily messenger center operations.
Developed in direct response to changing industry needs following the COVID pandemic, SBM’s proprietary package tracking platform builds on the company’s 2015 digital foundation. It digitizes intake and retrieval workflows to increase processing capacity, support leaner staffing models, and reduce headcount costs without compromising service quality. The platform also captures structured data on package volumes and messenger center traffic for analytics and business intelligence reporting. Its configurable architecture supports integration with clients’ internal business systems and property management platforms, enabling a more complete view of building activity.
SBM serves over 60 Class A buildings. The company remains family owned, independent, and committed to a higher standard.
What Drives Us
Every package has a name on it. Every release has a signature. Every event has a timestamp. We do not lose things. When something goes wrong, we own it completely.
Our company is family owned, independent, and deeply invested in the buildings we serve. We answer to the addresses on our roster, not a board of directors a thousand miles away.
Class A buildings demand Class A service. Our systems, training, and technology are all built to eliminate friction from the most overlooked part of a building’s operations.
We don’t act like a vendor. We act like a team member. Property managers know our names, trust our judgment, and rely on us to make decisions they’d make themselves.

Leadership
Kevin Bennett leads SBM as President, continuing the family business his father, Eric, founded in 1987. The company remains family owned and independently operated, answerable to the buildings on its roster, not a distant board.
Under Kevin, SBM holds to the principle it started with: the professionals in your lobby and mailroom deserve the same respect as the executives they serve. He keeps the company focused on what made it the standard by promoting from within, investing in training, and earning every Class A address it serves.
